People using American words.

Re:

period, when they mean full stop. I heard the Mrs using that one and she got the arse with me when I corrected her, so now I doubly hate it.

(Note to self, Mrs is ALWAYS right)

Oh and ASS instead of Arse. I know you can sit on both but one is a small muscular beast for carrying a heavy load.

and the other is a donkey...

Re:

Ass is more sexy than arse...

'Have a nice day' is an annoying one that has sadly caught on here.

The bum bag. Had a Hi-tec one to go with my shell suit.
Pretty sure the shell suit was also Hi-tec and it went with my Hi-tec Flight trainer boots with huge tounges.

"Aluminum ...."
+1000 on that one. Since I've lived in the US for quite a while, most daily words don't really bother me but Aluminum gets on my nerves, it's Aluminium people always was, just because some ignorant hick can't say it doesn't mean the word should change. (On a side note it really bothers me when some people use the word "neck" for a stem, don't know if this is an American thing or not).

Re:

It all sounds the same to me :) different regions of the same countries even have different words and pronunciations meaning the same thing
