1992 Klein Pinnacle Backfire (Son's 1st Mountain Bike)

I have successfully passed on my love for Kleins onto my son. We recently picked up this frame and got it repainted. It is safe to say he is beyond excited. I showed him some pictures of different Klein paint jobs and he picked the backfire. I should get it Wednesday and have it rebuilt this weekend.

:shock: I wish my 1st MTB had been a Klein! Lovely paint too.

does it have a disc mount on the rear? or are those rack mounts??

Nice one, lovely fresh Backfire, he will be the coolest kid on the block!

I have a Kirsten in original Backfire and on seeing it hanging in the garage on Sunday my daughter asked if I thought it would fit her now, she's nearly 11 and when I replied yes I think it will fit I just need to put some pedals on it her face lit up! :D
 
Very cool. I'm building a Pinnacle too, I should be getting it back from the powdercoating shop in a few days. I chose Flare for the color. Will you be using a MC1?

I've sometimes wondered if anyone has ever bought a new kids bike and had it repainted in a famous Klein paint scheme

A 16inch wheeled dolomite would be cool!

I even wondered if a Klein fanboy has ever pimped a buggy in the same vain
