I'm not a cycle trials rider by any stretch of the imagination but like a lot of us who were around at the time I've had a soft spot for Chainspotting era trials bikes. While an Ashton Cannondale or a Hawes Giant would be nice, steel is real, so a Pashley fits the bill nicely. ;)

I have most of the parts for this now, but I think it will be a slow burner.

here is where I am at just now.

Pashley frame and forks, FSA Pig headset, X-Lite Fly stem and DMR cromo wing bars in a nice matching blue.

Going to be 1x8 and v-brakes for now. Maguras may follow in time.

Any comments welcome.

cabling up (my least favorite job).

Really? Its my favourite job, I relish the challenge.

Anyway, this thread is less than useful without pictorial demonstrandum.

Cabling is fine it's the indexing I hate.

Anyway, pics or it never happened!

Do you have a least favourite job? Maybe we can work something out!

And I'll get some photos soon. Unfortunately the wee Pash is at the back of the shed so it may take some time.

Re: Pashley 26MHz new build.

OK. So here is where I got to with the wee Pash. Just needed some cables.

But since it got stashed at the back of the shed I have got some more bits for it.

I will replace the XT V-Brakes for these red DX ones.

And the rear XT mech for this NOS Ultegra one. :D

I am still not exactly over-endowed with shed time right now, so progress will still be slow, but at least I should start making some progress!
The bike is now in the 'working' shed so when I do get some time I can get on with things. ;)

Re: Pashley 26MHz new build.

Cool bike!

I'd love another one!! Had 5 over the years, first one was from the first batch in 1999

Re:

Get a hacksaw on that seatpost!! ;)
Got to love a pashley!

Got my M.A.D up for sale after swapping wheels and brakes onto my xc. Not going to get time to ride it enough so may as well spend the money on my xc bike!
