At the start of this build (in february  ) I had the best intentions of building this completely period correct but a couple of items have sneaked in that aren't. The cranks I've had since new and following a refub I couldn't bear to see them just sitting in a box. The supercool marinovative brakes threw a bit of a spanner in the works when I put all the parts together as I found they required a V brake style lever but now they work great. Took it out for a shakedown ride at the weekend, it rides pretty much like a fast hardtail which gets more compliant the faster you go, and it likes to go fast  . Hope the pictures do the bike justice as I'm really happy with the result.

Very nice

I do love the Cook Bros cranks, always fancied a set.

Does the top tube flex much?

Nice pics BTW, weather looks beautiful ;)

I know which camp I'm in

I'd love to try one of those, and that looks like a cracker... enjoy :D

glad you got her together steve, looks beautiful, nice, clean, build (with a hint of pimp!)

Need to get some more riding time in on it but impressions are it doesn't flex at all side to side. And yeah it was a beautiful day.

Cheers, I wish I could've upped the pimp rating with the black machine tech levers, they looked sooooo damn fine for the 5 minutes they were fitted :D

I like her (or is it a 'he') very much, Steve.
Nice parts; the Marinovative's are awesome.

(Just had a ride on my Slingshot this morning ;) )
