FS: Kona Cindercone - NOW £50!

Sam R

Devout Dirtbag
1993 Kona Cindercone. Not in original condition! 20.5" (I think) Originally the silver/green fade paint job. P2 forks. It has been (poorly) sprayed black and had the downtube gear cable lugs filed off (why?) when turned into a SS. Middleburn RS2 cranks on it may also be of interest. It's in a rideable state albeit with 1 gear (32/16). It has Truvativ V-brakes & levers which I've not seen anywhere else and date from circa 1998. orange Michelin Wildgripper (oh, the irony) tyres. Could be a start for a restoration project using a classic Canadian steel hardtail. New brazed gear cable lugs cost about £15 from Argos or Mercian. Photos available. Bike based in Cornwall but can post. £Offers

I don't know if this is of particular interest to anyone but I have a road frame and fork made from Vitus double butted cro-mo lugged tubing. I can't actually tell who made the frame - there are numerous decals on it but a head tube logo (not a cast badge or anything fancy) denotes "DC" in a black diamond. It has Campag cranks & BB, and 5sp Campag block with Campag front + rear deraillieurs & Campag rear hub on a Mavic (I think) rim. No front wheel. Bars and stem are old Cinelli and the frame is finished in light metallic blue. It has some rust and needs work but was once a nice road bike. The frame forks seem true but haven't been placed on a jig to make sure. If you want to know more, message me via this forum and I'll do my best to get you pics/more info. Its based in Sheffield though I could post. As for price? Make an offer.

Hi all,

this is still for sale now residing in Sheffield and can be delivered between there and Manchester, minus the RS1 (prob going to an erstwhile member on here) though it will have some Sugino Impels on. Do I hear £85? Will get pics if wanted.

Cheers, Sam
