Rare, but how rare?

I had a 1991 Klein Quantum frame in the same size, fantastic build quality as you'd expect from Klein and the black paint was something else, very thick, even and chip resistant. Stiff frame but not noticably uncomfortable for oversized aluminium. Mine did not have a replaceable rear mech hanger but thankfully I never crashed it.

Didn't see many of them about but not sure on rarity - Klein road frames (including the update of the Quantum) are easier to find now although not exactly common.

If the price is right and you fancy it, why not?

How many road frames did Gary Klein make?

I think the phrase to describe the quantitiy would be...Buttloads.

Acutually, I remember reading that the road market far eclipsed the mountain bike production.

I've got an '89 hanging in the garage, it was my first "real" race bike.

Nice bike, not too stiff/uncomfortable for me at 185.

cheers,

rody
