So today Santa came early, as the 1993 Yo Eddy F & F I bought from a guy on Fat Cogs finally arrived - once I'd paid the 25% import tax/ransome.

Here's the original thread

http://www.fatcogs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4188

I threw some parts I had on an old Tucker (Easton) frame on it, just so it would look a bit more like a bike, So;

Hope Ti-glide rear/Mavic rim
Hope Fatso front/Mavic rims
USE seat post and a knackered original Flite
Syncros Cattleprod stem
X-lite bar and bar-ends

Awaiting a Cook Bros. cbr craknkset and a new issue Flite, need to sort new cables etc all round, plus get a black front brake cable hanger (anyone got a decent one they don't need?), swap over the brakes (90's Grafton copies) and XT rear mech.

Apart from that she's ready to rock!

First drooled over a Yo Eddy when I was 19, same year as my youngest daughter was born, and now I'm 50 and soon to be a grandad!

As they say in the old film clip in the Carlsberg advert - well worth waiting for!

I've got a Syncros hang doggy, it's 1" and lost it's noodle but a bake cable outer capped end will slot in fine and stay in place or you can use a short 90degree V brake noodle.

PM me if interested.

PM on it's way

Finally got 99% of my Eddy done. Still need some proper off-road tyres, still not sure if I will go all-black or retro there. Also undecided whether to go with a Syncros black seatpost or not, as I don't have a Syncros crankset, but do have a stem.
The stem itself needs to be shorter, probabbly 135mm, so I am on the lookout for a 1"/135mm reach with noodle.
I've ordered some spacers and chainring bolts so I can set up the granny properly - at the moment I can only use outer and middle rings. Also a repro Ringle QR nut on order, as I lost one ages ago.

Loving the stiff ride when climbing :) Just gonna have to rediscover my flow over stones and roots after years on Suspension fork and FS bikes...

Build is as follows so far;

- S/M Yo Eddy frame & Orig Fork. Repainted by D&D cycles in San Lorenzo CA, original Fat City decals
Photo's don't do the paintjob justice, as you can't see the pearl clearcote
- Hope hubs (Ti-Glide/Fatso), DT butted spokes, Mavic 230 SBP rims, Ringlé QRs
- Cook Bro's (CBR?) Chainset, Shimano rings, SPDs
- Syncros Cattleprod stem
- X-Lite Ti bars
- X-Lite barends and plugs
- USE seatpost & shim, Sella Italia Flite 1900 seat
- XT f & r shifter
- LX rapidfire brake/shifter levers
- No-name Grafton style canti's - anyone recognize them?

Now out for another ride...

Re:

Thanks. The LX stuff is basically what was on my old bike, though they do have sentimental value, as I was given them by Terry Wright Cycles in '93, after a weeks work experience in their shop, before I left the RAF. Performed faultlessly ever since :)
