Racingbik

they do mention Racingbik in their history piece .

they even strated making the frames for Trek , and Kestrel .

That is great , I did not think this frame had such a great history .

I was surprised to read that as well. I'm from the east coast US, and we had our own culture there. Aegis was all about the east coast, being from Maine and all, so there were pretty big. Out here in the west, you dont see many of them. They did custom paint when no one else did, if I remember it right. I dont remember ever seeing one called "racinbik," and I suspect those were just aftermarket stickers.

the road version is very rigid , the MTB one must have been unrideable in stones .

shame that they are not very light .

funny thing is that on their website they say that they used to make the Rossignol tennis rackets in graphite , and I have one too .

Ok, the plot thickens. I found this on the mtbr.com forums:

uglybik2.jpg

That doesn't look anything like the Aegis Brutus or ProAxe, but it sure looks a hell of alot like their road bike. The name on the down tube is "Mountain Bik" kinda like "racing bik."

I may have been misinformed.

That is the MTB version .

The decals are identical to mine , except that mine says racingbik .

The MTB version must have been called Mountainbik .
