Small update. Another window added. This one opens. Will probably leave it at this for windows, but will try to replace the old original one over time. Power has been run from the house and the "first fix" is in. Insulation is ready to go in, but will then need to be boarded out before the sockets and lights can go in. Slow progress, but it's tidy in there so no major rush at the moment.

I too have the washing machine drum wood burner !

They look fantastic in the dark, highly recommend one.

I love mine, was a real job to get it out of the plastic housing though!!!!

What do you burn in yours? I find wood too smokey sometimes.
There are so many different fuels about.

I'd dismantled my machine to discover the mounting had snapped so was no bother.

I tend to chuck in a few charcoal brickets from the BBQ and then whatevers to hand..
wood, paper etc. Can get a bit smokey as you say.
