This is my first attempt at putting together a more modern bike as I have been stuck back in the 90's up until now! I got the frame from ebay last year and have been slowly building it up.....just need the last few bits now.....and some advice....

The Avid Juicy 7 calipers have Post mounts? and my frame and Rockshox Revelation fork have IS mounts? So I obviously will need an adapter but I am yet to buy disc rotors so can I use 180mm or do I have to have 160mm with the brakes? Which adapters do i need?

Headset.....this has twisted my melon! It is the original Massi Integrated? one....but after may hours messing with it appears to be missing a part(between the top bearing and the exterior top) which are not readily available, so I think I need a new headset. Im confused which to buy....whats the differences between semi & integrated and which do I need?

Sorry for sounding thick...thanks :)

Re: Massi Z8 Build....advise needed

I think I have everything you need...

You can run whatever rotors you want, I tend to use 185f 160r and have a spare pair of Avid G2 rotors in just these sizes, possibly the adaptors too, I'll check ;)

Also have a bnib Ritchey WCS carbon headset that might well be the right thing, I think 44mm is the magic diameter from memory - a snap of your's to compare should confirm it.

Looking good though, fast is the word that springs to mind! Welcome to the future!

Re: Massi Z8 Build....advise needed

And finally more or less the Massi is done! Gonna swap the bars for some prettier ones and eventually change the forks as they are more worn than I realised but will do for now. As elpedro666 thought....she does ride very fast indeed  ....quite twitchy at the front and climbs like a mountain billy goat :)

Re: Massi Z8 Build....advise needed

Really nicely understated, definitely looks like it means business! Glad it's all come together with minimal headaches in the end, great work :D

Good luck on Sunday! ;)
