New score $200 Cannondale SM800 1987 Groupset question

OSMojo

Old School Hero
It hasn't arrived yet but once it does I will turn it into a tourer that I can actually use, to do that I will change the groupset (but not the roller cams) so far I have seen a Shimano Deore M615 or a Shimano Alivio M430 on ebay. But I haven't a clue about groupsets. I just want trigger shifters and something modern but not too expensive, so I turn to my learned forum experts for advice, also will I have any trouble with the bottom bracket or anything else fit wise it being a 2014 groupset on a 1987 frame?

Re:

This is what it looks like now. I upgraded with NOS parts and new modern components such as a click shift shimano groupset, so it's Old School with some new school technology, perfect combo. It's for sale on Ebay.
