help I.D this old dawes racer,now with bike number

love that one, those flared head lugs are great, ill take some close ups asap, sadly every time i get it out i have to take it apart and pack away, here are some more pics from yesterday, i was trying some parts on ,as he only had a small amount of original parts, and most of them are rusty, thanks again mate

Serial number is a dead giveaway. Those rear stays date it quite well too.

I have a GB alu quill stem if you want. and, possibly some centre pull weinmans sitting around somewhere.
 
cheers mate, ill try and get the number from it today, ive got 2 centerpulls and a couple of stems, im going to see how it all looks , thanks for the offer though :D

Ive got a advert for a 73 galaxy its lugged , but then this is a earlyer model, :D
 
that one looks similar to the one in a old touring bike magazine ive got, 1973 ,
