My aluminium bike I made in 1984 ----Plus restoration

Hmmmm

Your definition of a 'fine day' be differ from mine. We had 6 fine days last year!

Hope you are keeping well, the bike is still awesome (best word for it).

Re:

Very nice , is the seat post actually the seat tube going through the seat lug? and does the bolt at the back just attach the seatstays to the seat lug ? cheers Ian on the Gold Coast

Yes Ian, the seat tube is the seat post with the seat stays attached to a lug machined at the rear of the seat lug.The frame was build to my size and is not adjustable.

do you still ride the same size now ? , what grades of Aluminuim were available when you made it (and diameters) ? cheers Ian

Not too much, just wanted something stronger than general purpose 6061, the tube was purchased fron a aircraft supply company in Sydney, I remember paying $10 per foot a steep sum over 30 years ago.
