Raleigh RSP Ti

Re: Raleigh RSP Phil Wood Titanium - Evolution....

Just for a bit more information, I sold the frame to Ibbz last year and I bought it stripped, back in 2009-ish.

The guy I bought it from also bought it stripped IIRC, and he'd got it around 2006. So it's been naked for quite a while now!

Re: Raleigh RSP Phil Wood Titanium - Evolution....

As soon as I take delivery of it I'll post some pictures, if you don't Mind il stick them up here?

Nice one! I really look forward to the build!
It took me a while to figure out a look for mine, your original livery and what you'll choose to go with it is going to be very interesting!

Re: Raleigh RSP Phil Wood Titanium - Evolution....

Got it built up with what I've got for now, really happy with it but it will evolve a bit over time, still debating going for raw ti, but does seem a shame to remove the paint, but I do really like the look of yours stripped.
Check out the build if you want mate, be nice to hear your thoughts on it

Had a look,looks superb!

I'm thinking about getting rid of the Magura brakes and replace with some Paul's or top of the range Avid (Arch Supreme or Ultimate)
what do you reckon?

The Magura's are powerful, but annoying as the hose over the top tube needs to be sorted and they look very bulky and spoil the lines of the bike.

Re: Raleigh RSP Phil Wood Titanium - Evolution....

Sounds good to me, I like the idea of the avids. I can nervier remember which ones are top of the range? Either way I really like the arch supreme's and the ultimate levers.
Really well made stuff and I think it would look really nice on the raleigh.

Re:

After a long time, and a slow process I managed to change the Magura's and sources some Paul Components.

I decided upon a black/silver at the front and a spartan silver at the rear.

Also added a Gold KMC X9SL Chain.

Last thing to add will be:
a) Salsa Flip Lock Silver QR seatpost clamp
b) Syncros decals on the seat post.

And that should be that.

Question is, have a made a dogs dinner of this? Let me know your thoughts!
