Sorry! Modern MOOTS alert.

Seeing your Moots with black bits looks very nice. Just missed out on a Moots stem and post on Ebay (phew!), and now I'm thinking about getting rid of the silver Thomson stem and post, and red Chris King bits and going back to black. When I say "think", I mean will definately put it back now!

Just waiting on Moots getting back to me, was hoping they would have emailed me back end of last week to let me know what the damage is going to be :shock: but still no emails as yet (good thing or not?).

I like to think that Moots are sending me a new YBB as replacement, and that it will just turn up on my doorstop, as a lovely surprise! :roll:

It's the retro way!

The great thing with Retro bikers is that they know how to put a great looking modern bike together. I think t comes from years of experience of building a stripping rigs. Unfortunately something thats sorely missing from modern, new to the sport bikers-they have a lot to learn

nar, you cant PROPERLY ride if you love the bike too much & want to clean it with a cotton bud afterwards (& hey we;ve all been doting on our bikes at some stage
its the basic hire car mentality, properly rag it as you dont really care about it

This bike is a rider. Yeah it'll only be used for XC and sure I'll be a little pissed when the inevitable scratches and grazes appear but the beauty of ti is that it scrubs up well and will be shining almost like a new pin with minimal fuss. The components are replaceable.

After every dirty ride my bikes get a clean, not to surgical standards but a good clean and lube and every so often I do give them a damn good wash and polish. Summer time and they get to wear the dust, cow and sheep sh1t for a few rides before cleaning.

The Turner gets the real ragging in the mountains or rough stuff. :twisted:

Black Sheep Cycles in Colorado, you can deal with them direct - they are a small custom frame maker who also do nice forks. They specialise in 29er and newsboy type swoopy frames but will do what ever you want.
