Road Riders

Aye, if we can squeeze it in the calendar. Things looking pretty busy already. Anything to get the mileage up though.

I'd be up for a regular road ride but as usual it would be dependent on work and family commitments and would have to be a west or central Scotland ride unless a National is organised further afield for the vacant slot in August.

Ayrshire would be nice new scenery , maybe head south from Ayr.
Lots of route South of Maybole around Dailly and Barr. I believe they are known as the Ayrshire Alps !

Bathgate Alps, and/or Two Bridges starting from mine's could be a goer if anyone fancies it, although not till next month (when I'm no away with work... and thinner).

I'd be happy to head west for a change.
Be a nice change of scenery.

Brilliant - I move to the Sunny Side and you lot wanna mess around in the rain

My suggestions are:

Loch Tay circuit avoiding A roads (luverrly in autumn)

Loch Awe circuit - similar

Cairn o Mount and Banchory

4 Abbeys which I missed last year

:D

I like this idea, but I'm puzzled.

It's a Retro ride, so obviously a fatbike is the required steed.

And what's the road equivalent of the cliff leap that I've seen at the retro rides I've been on.

So where can I find a fat road bike and how do I avoid being the designated leapee? :)
