Silly things to do with a Marin (pt 1)

I think you're right on the tensioner. It's a 40/20 ratio, which seemed to be be just the wrong combination to get the chain nice and short. I wanted to use the 'push-up' on the tensioner, but there was still slack at max push, so had to go for pull down - looks like it needs a bit more pull. Though if too tight, it pulls the chain to the side of the roller and it rubs. Next weekend's job.

No, sacriledge would be to not use the Marin and let it rot in the shed.

Billinjah - thanks, I was toying with the idea of a half link chain, but then I got impatient and got what they had at the LBS. May need to rethink.

Green Rabbit - if you see a red bike with big handle bars chained up on the sea front when it's blowing and a red Ozone Instinct on the water - that's me. I live two streets up from Goring green (so not a long ride!)
