Pretty much finished my RTS now. I always wanted a 1993 RTS-1, and drooled over the one my local shop had in at the time. I picked this up with a view to building a completely standard bike; I since found out that the frame is actually (probably) an RTS-2 frame. Which kind of scuppered my plans slightly! I'll keep looking for an original 6061 frame but until I find one, I may just put RTS-1 decals on this ad take the 7000 series alloy sticker off!
Anyway, I've built it up with full M900 kit. The only thing I now intend to replace are the forks (I want Mag 21 Sl) and maybe put some straight bars on it. Anyone know what the RTS-1 will have originally had??

Anyhow, hope you like it. It rides absolutely great; a bit heavy but still pretty nimble on the climbs. Feel free to comment, good or bad!

Really clean build, those risers though.. they seem to bend up and then down again, that can't be comfortable.. can it?

As for the rest of the build .. first class, nice one! ;)

Nice build , but risers dont go at all on a RTS , and put some proper pedals on .

Lovely clean build. I'm with the others though, flat bars and 'proper' pedals would look super cool.
