Skye - Sligachan route map (click for stupidly huge version!):

We did it anti-clockwise, sticking to the green route all the way around. Strath Mor (ending at 2) is a horrible marshy slog. Notes below were the original suggestion - clockwise.

With the benefit of hindsight, the run from Sligachan to Camusanary and back again would have done nicely, and that's what I'd recommend.

Starting at Sligachan hotel, top left of the map. Clockwise direction, a fair bit of roadwork to begin with, follow the A87 towards and through Sconser. Turn right at 1 onto the old road to get off the tarmac.

If you go left onto the longer orange route instead, according to STW, about an hours worth of pushing, but a nice descent aftwerwards.

Torrin at B and the Blue Shed Cafe may be worth a detour for refueling, but we took so long it would have been closed by the time we got there.

Anyway, follow the B8083 westward then south through Kirkibost, turning right at car park and back off-road.

Make sure you turn left at 3 and pop down to the beach at Camasunary - lovely.

After the beach, the pay-off... A bit of a climb, then singletrack all the way back to the Hotel.

Skye - Quirang. Head for heights recommended, and leave the SPDs at home.

Drive up A855, turn left at Brogaig, park at 2nd car park. Then singletrack down to Flodigarry, and road south back to car.

2.8 miles of singletrack.

Start Elevation: 257m
Total Ascent: 110m
Total Descent: 269m
End Elevation: 97m

4 miles of road to get back to car-park.

You lose all the height in the last mile

Skye - Idrigill Loop:

We ran out of time and never did this one.

Possible start points Orbost, Glendale or anywhere in between. One route also suggests starting at Dunvegan...

Loop = 25.6 miles - alternate off-road routes in orange, not sure if they are viable or not, just saw them on the map!
