Does the fork still works after these 14 years ?
 
the fork doesn't lose oil, the air stays less time than in 90ies, let's say a month.
I wanted to service it, maybe the oil could be :? a little viscous, but nobody wanted to take the risk.
It can be a little slower in rebound, but, it sucks now as it did in 1991 :cry: :LOL:
As this bike is not the first choice when I go out for a ride, I don't touch it :cool:

Is it preferable to keep it with air or without air, while it is a garage queen? any suggestion?
 
I love these first generation RockShox. A friend could restore mine with new bushing he machined and new seals. The fork keep air now and works fine… for such old model.
Nothing too sophisticated in it but a very serious conception, near what was done in motorcycle.
In my opinion, try to restore it if you can. It's not very difficult and, I prefer Garage queen which could be riden :D
