Campag Record and Nuovo Gran Sport Headset Cups

Hello,

Are the headset cups for Campagnolo Record and Nuovo
Gran Sport headsets interchangeable?

I've got a bike with a record headset that's OK, except for the top bearing cup which has rusty chrome. So can I just replace this cup with a Nuovo Gran Sport one I've got?

Have you tried fitting everything together ? If the Stack hight is the same i see know reason why it should not work.

IIRC it may be a different bearing size- 5/32" for Record and 1/8" for Gransport, or something like that. Might be worth a try, but if it rocks about when reassembled/adjusted, that'll be why. Rusty chrome could be the lesser of two evils.

They are not interchangeable. Record takes a 3/16 ball, GS is 5/32.
