GT lightning titanium frame £100 BIN

Titanium is only strong when it's alloyed from the right the ratio of aluminium and vanidium. The higher the numbers, the harder it is to machine and to draw tubes from.
Allot of old litspeed 6al 4v frames are seam welded, which means loads of weaknesses along the frame tube. A 3al 2.5v frame will be less likely to brake, but not as stiff material wise.
I bought a Magmaa titanium ears ago. They used to draw/ stretch the tubes from billets of short tubes milled in a lathe and then cut the ends off. So you ended up with a butted tube! Can't buy them now, but they were VERY ell made.
