raleigh mustang

Ha, thats exactly what I am aiming for.

Spent the afternoon in the workshop finishing off the mods to the frame and fork. I wasn't happy with the way the rear dropouts looked, they seemed too industrial. I needed only to take the smallest amount away from them to change the look entirely.

I also moved the brake hanger up about 10mm, there is now a better clearance above the tyre.

The forks also have been modified, the bottoms have been chopped and recapped.

One more thing to do to the forks, then I will get both painted.

Cheers peeps. I have finished the forks and dropped them off at the local metal finishers to have the chrome stripped.

In other news, parts have started to arrive, the first of which is the tyres.

These are perfect for the build, and rather than getting some 30yo nos items, I found some new reproductions, so there is no danger of them being perished. The only drawback is they are pretty weighty, tho the whole bike isn't going to be flyweight....

:)

Oh, be interesting to see how much interest you get there vs here... loads of title readers already reading about posher stuff! I still think this is ace. Mine will be ATB+ but do love what you are doing...
