Courier versus Royal Mail.......

Paisley Freight £21 bike in a box to mainland Uk.
My Hermes about £10 for a frame alone.
In my experience both provide reliable service.

Don't **** about, just get down the post office.
Avoid Hermes like the plague.

I use myHermes for frames, wheel sets and the like (20+ parcels to date) with no problems thus far. Frames are £6.20 insured up to £100, tracked and signed for, and you can drop at your local Collect+ shop at your convenience!

For full bikes I use Pharos Parcels, have sent to various European countries and UK destinations - great price & service!

Unfortunately I've had some not great experiences with Royal Mail as well...[/quote/]
Parcelforce can be slow, incompetent etc but they do track their incompetence!
I once had a pair of wheels sent to Carlisle SIX times from the national hub, simply cos the lady in my post office had a Carlisle post code lodged in her brain when I sent them. They only needed to go to Southampton, 40 miles down the road...
but they got there in the end!

Had a frame, forks, bars, stem and post. sent to me from Hull for £16 Royal Mail a couple of weeks ago. No problems

Never heard of a Royal Mail but I've had a Muddy Fox Courier and that was a fun ride.

I'll get me coat
