Dirt Disciple
just purchased a claud butler frame was told it was 70s ive looked for frame number but all I found was 62 63 davis components on bb any help appreciated

Probably refers to the angles.
One thing you can be certain of, it had absolutely no connection with Claud Butler. It might be from the Holdsworthy Company, or whoever owned the name after.
Show us some detail pics.

Neat little bike, the number on the bottom bracket must be some sort of identity number, not angles.
Looks mid to late 70s.

Thanks I dont think forks are original I thought they might have number on then but the only mark on them is an upturned c with letters i s inside it

Somehow I was looking at a blue bike very small frame, must be the wrong one.
The forks I see now have a very cheap pressed crown.
