BB Mounted (E Type) Front Mechs ... Quick question

Frames designed to run one of these ideally need a boss at the bottom of the ST, no?

I have a frame with such a boss but don't know if the boss is meant for a Pulley wheel or a e type mech.

As I haven't such a mech to try I'm just guessing

If you run one of these mechs would you mind firing up a pic of the set up?

If its on the back of the st its for a pulley.
If its on the crank side its for e type mech.

My Clark Kent has a pulley on the side so possibly not that black and white?

Mark, pulleys are lower mounted, almost bb level or, and inch up.

BB mount boss will be noticeably higher, 4/5 inch or so...

Not all E type front mechs are made with holes for bolting to frame.
Some are held just under the BB cup.

There is mech with holes that can give You idea of hole positions:

I had a Clockwork with an E-type boss, but didn't bother with it and used a normal low swing high clamp FD.
