Emma?

The 1881 census records contain no less than nine entries for Different ladies having the retrospective misfortune to have been named Emma Royds.

If one of them dedicated this building we may never know.

First of

Sorry for the daft posts  always think I'm well ard after a few.....

The census thing does interest me, I wouldn't mind looking back at my ancestors history I know my mums story, many moons ago we were a family of tar diggers living in the black pool she only comes out with this when she's on the whiskey!

So with out endless googling anyone got any good links?
Thanks Daz.
