Hi all, now surpus to requirements is this wheelset taken from my spare bike which has reluctantly been parted out. Was going to keep these as they really are a lovely understated looking wheelset with loads of life left in them however I have no use for them at the moment and maybe someone else does.

They are 1995 Campagnolo Athena 8sp hubs (same as Chorus just without the grease port iirc) laced with 32 DT DB spokes to Mavic Open Pro clinchers.

The hubs roll super smooth and the rims run true, Excellent freehub, Good spoke tension and little sign of wear to the rim sidewall.

Included in the sale is the 8 speed Campagnolo cassette.

Looking for £110 posted.

8 speed only on the current freehub as it has a different spline pattern to 9/10 speed, in fact it almost looks shimano

It is however possible to swap the freehub out for a later 9/10 speed one as the hub/freehub interface is the same, you just need to be sure its one designed for a steel axle and not one for the oversize alu axle models and you'll be fine.

And yes they are very pretty... ;)
