WANTED: chrome (or chromable) Italian front forks

Jof

Retro Newbie
Hi. Hope you folks can help me.

I've inherited a 1970s Liberati from my girlfriend's Italian granddad. I've been restoring it and it's looking a real beaut, but in the process of shipping it over from Rome the forks got bent and it appears the crown is cracked so I need a replacement.

The current forks are 760g and are 530mm in total length with 157mm of stem and 32mm of thread.

Ideally I'm looking for columbus tubing with the bird logo on the crown, but anything logo-less would go down a treat also. Would be nice to have a chrome one, but I'm happy to strip and chrome a non-chrome piece if it's an affordable price.

Thank you! Her dad is visiting in Dec and I'd love to show how grateful I am but making this old bici look super tasty!

This may not be to your taste, but, if you are stuck, have a look at Planet X - they had new chromed forks recently - i think around £39.99 ish.

Thanks Richard. I did check those out, but they weren't quite the style I'm looking for. Trying to keep things visually 'authentic'.

Solved!

Got a beautiful set of pristine Columbus forks from a great chap in Brighton
