It doesn't look out of place though, but would have had originally a metal badge. They were prone to falling off hence your replacement methinks

Thanks. I see you used to have one yourself.
I was about to buy a modern hybrid, but a friend put me onto this forum and I took the chance to get a bike I could only dream of as a schoolkid. Picked her up not long ago, so still just acquiring the parts to show her some love.

Be patient looking for one too. I've seen them offered for silly money.

I've seen a bloke riding up Gloucester Road on a 95 Bobcat Trail, so I'll just follow him and nick the badge while he's in a shop.*
