Will anyone be attending the Yorkshire Bike Show this Saturday and Sunday (21-22/9/13) ?

It seemed to be the only right and proper place to give the Banana it's first public outing since I (nearly) completed the restoration.

What day are you bringing the Dave Rayner bike? Its Hayfield sheepdog trial and country show here, I love to see it
Cheers Darren

An interesting way to start a Saturday - waiting for the sun to come up so I could cycle to the station, found a perfect colour match with the railings there!

Felt pretty weird commuting on my retrobike but the roads were quiet, and despite the website saying the train was delayed, it was on time!

The Yorkshire bike show looks really good, mostly specialists and artisans, rather than the big brands.

Can't post pics directly as they're too big, but will post them later - if anyone is around, come and say hi!

As promised pics from yesterday of the railway colour match, en route, and the show itself..

Just thought I'd be proactive, and let you know that it isn't my bike that's for sale on ebay.

The one on ebay is the equally lovely '88 Shimano equipped bike
(I wonder where you got the idea for those pics Maraner - probably the same place as me!)

Thanks Colnago, last time the other bike was for sale, people got confused with mine (which isn't for sale)

I take your feedback to heart, I always felt this bike was special before I knew it's history. The delta's define the bike, indeed they are what made me buy it! The SGR's I could easily forget, as could many of the pro's obliged to use them.

I took the bike along to last night's Dave Rayner Dinner, a wonderful evening, I got the chance to speak to many of Dave's old team mates....

There were quite a few tales told, and one or too beverages consumed, but my memory is a little hazy today.

I think this pic sums it up perfectly.
