Iphone 4s no service help!!

service went on phone this evening. cant seem to get it back. done all the usual, sim in and out, off and on etc. Now in the middle of doing a full erase and restore from icloud.

Could this be a 7.0.2 thing?

help appreciated.

Wife's android is on EE as well and is working fine

not bee dropped abuse etc. noticed a couple of hours ago.

will leave it to reload apps overnight and have a look in the morning. still saying 'no service' though. :cry:

The antenna could be dead, or maybe you're just holding it wrong. (sorry, couldn't resist)

If you can swap sim cards, be sure to do so. That way you can determine if the phone is at fault or the sim. Also get in touch with your provider to make sure they didn't cut you off for not paying your bills or for whatever other reason they might think of.

Right, Solution as advised from apple support:

backup to icloud via wifi. erase and reset phone, import everything from icloud via wifi. when phone reboots OS resets.

it worked!

apparently a common glitch.
