Toughest 90's steel frame you have ridden

I have been reading the 'does the bikes weight matter' thread which has got me thinking but didn't want to hijack the thread.

What is the toughest steel frame you have ever ridden, one that you would bet your life would never fail you. Weight not an issue just pure strength.

Rigid only please :p
 
Good question, thought provoking as the topic must be the way i choose my bikes and 'keepers' in particular. I don't care so much for boutique parts or marques of distinction, Just has to get me round the route with minimal fuss.

I hacked apart a Townsend and used the seat cluster, BB shell and dropouts for a bamboo bike project. Those tube walls were literally 2mm thick.
