GT LTS 3000DS (1999 I think!)

Hi just finished this. Immaculate LTS3000DS frame with new bushes etc, and a fairly mint set on Manitou X-Vert DC's. Rides really nice, no issues with play or squeaks. Total build cost £325. What do you guys think?

Back brakes on now, still searching for some M7 canti studs for the front though. I need brakes! A lot

Yeah, just for consistency really. I dont want disk front, V rear. I also dont want to buy a disk wheelset, the whole point of the build was to scrape in under £350.

Having ridden it more, The back end is amazing and makes you realise how dead airshock rears feel on current bikes in comparison to a coil, even if they are Kashima shocks. Quite tempted to fit a CC Bouble Barrel of Fox Vanilla on my five now, sod the weight penalty.

I don't see why people brag about expensive Fox Kashima Coated suspensions. They are lighter that Marzocchi alright but on the downside they are kind of stiff and require more maintenance. Not to mention that kashima coating is prone to fading and re-coating costs a small fortune. I guess trends will be trends...
