gt frame avalanche,backwoods,?

Have acquired this frame, as they was no decals present and the frame was orange and under that coat green and under that black it looked like an 96/97 avalanche,backwoods,at a glance,on stripping the layers back it revealed 7005 stamped on both drop outs and the serial on the bb, can only make out SA****3021.
on trawling the site for an id i found the following.
the down tube gusset only came in in 95/96 so age is from then onwards.?
the rear cable guide under seat post disapears in 98 catalogue.?
several frames are 7005 alloy and have round caps.
and the backwoods and avalanche look very simalar to the untrained eye.but i did notice the rear dropouts looked different,

seat tube 27.2mm there is a seat cut

any help appreciated as i want to start of with the write decals.thanks darren

Hi Darren,Not a GT ,or for that matter,any kind of bike expert,But it sure looks good!,,watching the slideshow I was so pleased when i saw you kept it "In the raw" ,,Too nice to paint.Great bike.
