Picked up a Giant ATX990 this week with a set of Judy XC. Pulled the Judys down to see what shape they were in and surprise ........

Check out the awesome condition of the elastomer stack .....
That was all that was left. The rest was just black dust !!

Yep ..... the tubes and lower legs are in great shape.

Will have a go at servicing the cartridge while I'm at it.

Mine were the same. Just powder inside. I went for the Kronos spring conversion and it worked well

I had the same with my RC35s.

I'm surprised that there hasn't been any advance in elastomer so that it doesn't just perish. (Don't tell me there has and they're called springs )

There has, and they're called MCU's
