Damaged pedal threads

Most pedal/crank threads are 9/16" x 20 tpi, that is all except the one piece crankset normally found on kids bikes & they're 1/2" threads.

Many thanks. On close inspection, it's only the very end of the threads that's damaged so I'm going to see if a local machine shop can grind off a couple of turns - there will still be plenty of thread. If they can't, I'll order the dies and give them a try.
