I bought recently wheelset with these rims and my bike-master told me it's unsafe to ride it because of wear

but according to specs this is the concave rims

There is 2 straight lines in the profile and i tried to catch one of them with the ruler

so the rims are ok not worn?

Measure the wall thickness at the centre line of the braking surface.
Try and measure the wall thickness of an unused rim as well (doesn't have to be the same model/brand, just a similar rim to give you an idea of how much material you've lost. But if you can get one the same, all the better)

Also, how much gouging/grooving of the surface is there. I've found that when rims are near to disintegrating, the brake track tends to mark up and damage much easier than it does when new (when you still have the anodized surface to brake against.)

This is a 395 that has done less than 50 miles. ....your friend may be right. Yours look worn

Is it RM395-Team or RM395-TeamXC there is a difference, the later version (Team-XC) had a flat wall as pictured in the post above and the original version had Araya concave wall technology (and was a nicer and lighter rim)
They are tough as hell, I've rammed mine, worn mine and still they havn't gone.

I'd tide the top picture if it's a 'Team' and still do.

Cor I didn't know that :D Mine is a Team XC....so that makes sense. Looking at my RM17s by comparison they have a similar profile to the OPs pictures...again they are brand new.

Thank You Antstark ) If Yours are new and looks the same then it calms me ) I also tried to measure wear comparing the current weight of it (388gr) to the weightweenies site 403gr. But perhaps there is TeamXC quoted, and according to Araya Catalogue it's 410gr, not 395

I tried to measure wall thickness but it's very inconvenient to do it on such curvy surface and I'm unsure of accuracy of data I received - around 0,9mm
