Klein Bearing Offset

Hi Klein specialists,

For a Klein MC1 1992.

Please could somebody let me know the bearing offset for a 106mm BB Spindle. I.e. I think the left side (non drive) is flush but the right side is recessed slightly. By how much is it recessed?

I also need to know by how much the drive side spindle then protrudes from the right hand drive side or left side to accommodate the chainset so that it clears the stays correctly.

Many thanks

Thats brilliant.

Are all the non Bold ones shown in effect italicized text.

Looking at a 92 Attitude with XTR (106 / 10:cool: it would be 3mm offset on the non drive side, is that right?

How much spindle shows on the drive side or is it set equal from the bearing faces taking into account the offset?

Given the fact the bearings need to be seated in Loctite I don't want to get it wrong first time and make a hash.

Many thanks

No. None are italized on this page. I can only see one on the road page. PM me your email address and I'll email you the rest of the instructions.

Thanks for all your help on this.

Reading between the lines then my bearings would go flush with the BB Shell, is that right?

Does anyone know the best measurement from the BB Shell to the end of the Spindle taper on the drive side to accommodate XTR M900?

PM sent and thanks again.

Hi Chris

The "x18" is the measurement your after, 18mm from outer face of bearing/bb shell to end of axle.
Offer is still here by the way ;)

Cheers, Ash.

Thanks guys for the help on this. Hopefully it will come in useful for someone else in the future who happens upon this thread.
