Retro Newbie
This Bianchi Sprint 28c (early 80s I believe) has been owned by my Dad for around 30 years and ridden a handful of times ! It was always too big for him at 61cm as he is around 5'8" so maybe not surprising..
Bike is in generally good condition for age and is rideable. There are chips here and there and the paint has rubbed through in a few contact places such as the rear slots and on the top tube for about an inch underneath the rear brake cable. There is also a bit of a flat spot on the rear wheel but I only noticed this at higher speed and the saddle (original I believe) has a few small cuts on the rear.
Spec:
10 speed (5 rear 2 front) with Sachs Huret rear mech (front is Tiagra as original mech must have broken)
Gear levers on downtube are Simplex
Weinmann Type 500 brakes
Ofmega crank
Ambrosio 19 Extra wheels, tyres have little wear but a cracking a bit with age.
Bar tape has been replaced.
Serial on top of headtube is 557135
Complete with Bianchi bottle and Celeste coloured Silca Pump (ID courtesy of another forum member!) that slots in next to the seat tube.
Bike is based in the North East, any questions please feel free to ask. I'm not an expert on older bikes but have a rough idea so if anyone interested would appreciate a sensible offer.
Cheers
