Re: Colnago Master Olympic build thread, and request for adv

Boxes and Drawers of parts. I am guessing a mix of good and bad kit...

Re: Colnago Master Olympic build thread, and request for adv

After hunting through the hoard today, I have a more clear idea what there is to work with.

The first build plan is as follows. If anyone has any alternative better suggestions from the multitude of photos, I'm all ears.

Rabobank colour frame
Dura-Ace crank and front chainrings
Dura-Ace Derailleurs
Dura-Ace brakes
3TTT Stem and Bars (or second choice Cinelli)
Campagnolo alloy seat post
Regal Seat (White or Black?)
Keep the downtube shifters
Shimano 100 (105?) pedals and new clips from the parts bin.

Questions I've still not answered...

Is the Dura-Ace componentry better than the Shimano Ultegra gear?

I still have no clue on what rear cassette or ratios to put on. I think the current race blocks on both bikes offer too small a range for steep climbs.

Lastly, I also have absolutely NO idea which of the many wheels and tyres to choose either!

Thinking about rear gear selection. Would it be possible to fit a compact, plus a 27/28 for the hills/ headwinds?
