Pashley Trials Forks

Don't know about Pashley but the new Cotic cyclocross forks have the brake caliper on the front

couldnt see one on a steel or alu fork. Could see a theoretical use on a carbon fork with the radius being tighter less material being needs but couldnt see it being significant.

Maybe just coolness factor? Wonder if its significant that its on the wrong side? Do trials riders have their brake levers set up "goofy"?

It's so the caliper fits, think about how a caliper mounts on the fork, if rotate the caliper round to the front of fork it'll foul, so to avoid this you put it on the other side.

Ahh makes sense after thinking about it for a while. My spatial awareness isn't the best.

Although presumably it depends on the caliper design as to how much of an issue it is.
