Whats going on with this hub & fork

Get a better hub.

It's just wrong for the forks.
To wide a flange, to large a flange diameter combo I guess.

have seen this before, sometimes there is just an overlap of lack of clearance between parts, one option would be to rebuild the wheel radially with the spoke heads on the outside so that the rest of the spoke is on the inside of the hub, this would give the clearance

mmmm good idea :LOL: ......anyone in the Reading area that could do this for me or is it a trip to the LBS

Better than on the outside with small cartridge bearings as the pulling action on the outside of the flange can make the bearing loose in the hub.
