Should Bronson be released ?

Depend on whether you include kiddie porn and various permutations of offences, offender age etc, but last time I checked it was around 43% conviction rate within 5 years of release if all such offences are lumped together, dropping to 15% if you only count physical sexual incidents against children committed by adults age 20 or over. Either way it's pretty grim for a potential future innocent victim. There is still no definitive answer in the Nature v Nurture debate for paedos, and if it's the latter all the rehabilitation in the World won't work. The latest psycho pshrink theory is that paedophilia is an inate form of sexuality, lime heterosexuality or homosexuality. If that should ever prove to be true then were stuffed - you won't be able to rehabilitate kiddie fiddlers any more than you could homosexuals.

Chop off their hands and trouser vegetables - should cut down on reoffending.

Plenty have been nicked for pens gripped between thier teeth and toes used to penetrate, such is the desire thier ingenuity knows no bounds.

Jebus - the daily mail brigade is out in force again. Like it or not prison's purposes in society is not only to punish but to rehabilitate. Whilst bronson is the exception that proves the rule everyone be they burglar, murderer, rapist or Paedo's needs to be given the chance to prove (repeatedly if necessary) they are fit to join society again.

Having an ex-con paying taxes rather than draining our taxes at an extortionate rate whilst in prison makes sound economic sense. It also offers something that can be priceless in helping cut re-offending hope - take that away you would have a lot of dangerous people with nothing to lose.

Bear in mind I think the UK re-offending rate is something like 25% put another way that means 75% learn their lesson and do their time putting their past mistakes behind them. Everyone no matter how heinous their crime deserves the opportunity for redemption. The minute you start creating a sliding scale and saying some crimes are beyond the pale you start down a very slippery slope. Remember that the point of the justice system is to deliberately separate the accused from mob justice and to keep the rule of law. Like it or not society is bigger than anyone victim - and the more we support knee jerk laws - especially based on tabloid mock outrage the worse this country will become.

Im guessing you don't have kids? chemical castration is unexplored option if your a bit squeamish ;)

Aged what when convicted and sentenced ? 10 ?
Entire life spent inside prison? Yes?
Everything learned ,learned in prison ?
Sad reflection on our judicial system :?

Sorry , but as sh*t as it sounds i feel i have to stand up against vigilantism :? Hasnt there been cases of people being labeled as pedo and murdered by vigilantes who then are convicted and sent to prison.Usually for considerable sentences.
But thats ok because it might catch up a few real dangerous types and if theres some collateral damage well hey thats what it takes ?
Use the same argument over a death penalty for murder and i hear arguments about human rights :? and always the same 'but what if you were wrongly convicted'

Personally i feel they should be locked up indefinitely as they are a danger to the weaker in our society(such as that appears to be)

by re offending i suggest venables has lost that right to be given a new life.given how his childhood was at the time i can understand why rehabilitating him seemed the way ...but it hasnt worked and they should accept this and put hiim away (given his last offence) for the safety of kids everywhere...as for child rapists ..i believe the chinese method is best for them.9mm bullets are quite cheap these days.
