your a legend khane.....
thats what we need
looks a bit more clearance than my 20mm bolt hole dist. on yours
maybe 25mm??
you should have put a steel ruler on there so we can know for sure
if you could post a pic with the measurment we be on the way
also a pic of the pivot mount too would help
and if it's not toooooo much to ask can you weigh it and measure the thickness
hahahah then we'll be cook'n

another idea i have is a bracket that clamps in the dropout
but you have to loose 2 or 3mm off the overlocknut dist.
i.e. grind the spacer
hhhmmmmm.................

proflex
you'll have to post a pic in the show us your FSR thread

post me a pic of the pivot mount

i appears through looking at a number of pics on the forum
that the pivot mount is sloted, hidden under that 20mm washer,
that elimininates the need for sub millimeter drill hole accuracy
and that makes that pic you posted khane of the drill hole with the 3mm offset good to go afterall

if only i had all the pics at the start

it also appears that specialized made at least 2 production runs

since no one knows how to measure in this forum,
i took the liberty to scale your pic khane

25mm is the go.........

if everybodies happy with that
i'll get the drawings modified

and you can have a go at making them yourselves
and if your really game......
try making a set of steel press dies and hot hammer forge it........

Nice one hARro. Creative way to get the measurement!

From pics I've seen, It looks like the canti-mount area might use some dished/cupped washers (like V-brake block mounts) to allow everything to bolt down firmly, even when the faces arn't parallel.
I'm thinking without the washers, the fin or frame will flex slightly when it's bolted down. This may not be very good for the frame!

edit:
Ok, you can buy these things:

:)

yeah.... it was the only way to do it
obviously based on experience with this adaptor

yeah the pivot bolt mount is still in question???
a curved washer is a good idea
need some pics then i'll get it sorted
for now i've sloted it by 5mm, so gives plenty of room for the dropout drilled hole

sloooowwwwly it's getting there
