T'internet Explorer help

Here's one for all you techy guys. Trying to log on to free t'internet outside the famous hamburger outlet with the golden arches, you know the one. Can connect to wireless ok but then Explorer will not redirect me to their login page, which is what happens when I try it with my PSP. Any ideas as to which setting I need to adjust?

Oh am running XP and lastest version of Explorer (tabbed browsing etc)

And your time starts NOW!!!!!!

I'll give that a try. Cheers.

But if anyone does know why my browser doesn't automatically re-direct me I would be interested in finding out. Just for knowlege and learning stuff n'that.

What's your IE homepage set to? If the homepage is set to a secure page, URL beginning https then the redirect won't work.
 
Also there is a setting under Internet Options -> Security and click on Custom Settings to enable or disbale Meta-Refresh. Make sure it's enabled.
 
Ditch I.Explorer & try Forefox 3 (from Mozilla) it's faster & more secure ;)

Just set to Google. Will try the security settings you suggested.
