How many dictators and regimes were installed by the west? How many boundaries and territories were defined by the west? How much economic subsidy and pressure created by the greed and waste of the west?

We made the problem.

Re: Syria, The Middle East and the rest of the world explain

You cant destroy Israel because USA politics need both Jewish and Christian voters for any given election (Jurusalem) and that doesn't change regardless of oil reserves. While there are oil reserves the USA is also keeping in with whover can supply them. Biggest problem in the middle east is on the western side of the atlantic plus there hangers on (us, among others ).

Re: Syria, The Middle East and the rest of the world explain

Most of us took History to one level or another at school and beyond, so we all know what this country, and Europe, was like in the Middle Ages...

...why are we then outraged that the Middle East is at that stage of it's development, with the added complication of obscene amounts of money; and a Worldwide Arms Industry queuing up to relieve them of vast chunks of it?

Where would we be now if the Black Prince had automatic weapons, poisonous gas and nuclear technology at his disposal instead of a f*ck off great two-handed sword and Welsh archers?

The official Conservative press office Twitter feed said: "Ed Miliband is playing politics when he should be thinking about the national interest and global security."
 Cough...Splutter....

Now THAT is rich.
