Why haven't I seen a decent Gary Fisher bike?

Even the trek ones had some genius touches. The evolution BB is simple, effective and lasts for donkeys years. The evolution headset was ahead of its time too, but sadly became obsolete as 1,1/8" became favoured.

Fisher (Gary) was sued by Fisher (skis) for copyright infringement and lost, hence the name change.
 
and this quote from trek press office "On June 16, 2010, Trek Bicycle Corporation announced "the Gary Fisher Collection, a line of Trek bikes that will replace the standalone Gary Fisher brand"
