VERY CHEAP KLEIN ATTITUDE LESS THAN A DAY TO GO........

Klein were abit behind on the v-brake thing, this is frame is NOT designed for v-brakes, Klein eventually made an adaptor for MC2 frames so you could run v-brakes without damaging the frame.

If this bike is not stripped and flipped on here I will be amazed....

Why don't you do it then?

I'm sure it might hit 1k anyway........

SCRATCHES HEAD.... :?

I don't flip bikes that's why.

Id still like to get to the bottom of the differences you mentioned between this one and the ones you have for sale yourself....?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I said.

Just by looking at the x2 frames you can see differences between MC1 and MC2 =

In a nutshell, handlebar/stem are totally different including the way they in the steerer, MC1 has a quill, MC2 is a collet.

MC1 chainstays are square, MC2 more rounded.

MC2 frames are a lot lighter and the tubes thicker in diameter.

Exit/entry holes for the cable routing are different.

MC1 has horizontal dropouts, MC2 micro dropouts, I think they call them.

MC1 frames have the more "classic" colour schemes, dolomite/backfire/more linear fades, this makes them abit more popular than the MC2's.

There are other subtle differences.

A good site to look is www.oldklein.com

Hope all this helps.

That's the detail I was hoping for, Thank you.

All very subtle differences that even a dealer may have overlooked.

I think the bike was very cheap to be fair, whilst the small details are evident, for just over a grand for a complete bike, with very little corrosion on show, I think it was a bargain.
