Never Dull polish

I don't think so, i used oven cleaner to remove the anodising from a stem recently and then polished with Autosol and then Mothers.

There are some great posts about removal of anodising etc - search for one by Kettlo - step by step guide.

I'd rather not remove it, as it must be there for some beneficial reason. What is the least abrasive metal polish for anodised stuff ?

Autosol gets my vote too, getting expensive now, last tube was nearly £5. Perhaps mirror finish then clear powder coat, unless you live to polish stuff, in which case, go ahead.

The anodising is basically aluminium oxide aka sapphire effectively. It is far harder than the aluminium and will never 'polish up'. That's why you have to remove it and polish the aluminium.
